Air Jets (Product Category: Heating and Cooling Equipment)

An air jet is a cooling device for dry machining that sprays cool air without using cutting fluid. It can send out cold or hot air when supplied with compressed air, without using electricity or refrigerant. It is mainly used to reduce blade friction and cool frictional heat when cutting and grinding metal materials. It is also suitable for local cooling, and is useful for cooling needles, solder, and plastic products, etc. It has a long, narrow tube shape, and is constructed to emit cool air from the tip and hot air from the terminal. Some have a function that allows the cooling temperature to be changed depending on the level of the inlet pressure, while others have a sound damping mechanism. If necessary, a nozzle capable of pinpoint cooling or an air jet silencer that hardly reduces the exhaust speed can be attached.
